The St. Lucie River Chapter of the Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution is comprised mainly of compatriots  from St. Lucie and Martin Counties.

On Memorial Day, May 26th, 2025 we joined with the Halpatiokee Chapter, NSDAR at the Stuart Memorial Day Parade.  By this small action we recall our obligation to remember and pay homage to those who have given their all for our great Nation.

Incoming President, Sherwin Bostick was awarded the Roger Sherwin Medal. This medal is awarded to a compatriot in recognition of, and in appreciation of, outstanding services rendered to a District or State.

At our April Meeting Thomas T. Winant (Tim) joined our ranks.  Though officially a member of the Empire State (NY) Society, Tim chose the St. Lucie River Chapter for his formal induction.
On March 3rd, 2025, Regional Representative for the Community Development and Civic Engagement of the SAR, Sherwin Bostick, assisted Cal Hedman with throwing out he first pitch of a New York Mets game. Cal is a 96 Yrs old World War II and Korean War Veteran. After shaking off the first sign Cal agreed on the second sign and the stadium went crazy. Cal threw a perfect pitch down the middle. At our March 8, 2025 meeting Chapter President Hall Riediger gave a presentation on the Battle of Thomas Creek.  Spoiler alert, it didn’t tun out well for our side.

In 2024 the St. Lucie River Chapter was pleased to recognize the outstanding service of two area residents to the Veteran’s Community with the presentation of the Good Citizen Award.
